Both the CR960 and CR980 have two longitudinal rotors for high capacity threshing and separation. The rotor has a diameter of 0.43m on the CR960 and 0.56m on the CR980. Both models are designed for large-scale operations where maximum productivity is of primary importance. Offering two CR models, with different rotor sizes, helps ensure the right combination for the specific size of the cropping operation. Matching the different active rubbing area for threshing and separation, CR models have different cleaning areas and different engine power specifications.
On CR Combines, threshing and separation is carried out by two longitudinal rotors. The auger flights in the front section of the rotors take the crop from the straw elevator, divide it in two streams and start the rotary action. The rotors turn in opposing directions, while staggered rasp bars, separator fins and agitator fingers fully control the crop while processing it and moving it to the rear. Behind the rotors, a discharge beater with an adjustable concave transports the straw to the rear of the straw hood. An adjustable plate in the hood directs the straw into the straw chopper, or to a swath on the ground.

The versatile and easily adjustable reel prepares even the most tangled crop for cutting. 1150 cuts per minute help ensure a fast ground speed in any type of crop, whatever the degree of maturity. Fast transfer of the cut crop is handled by the large diameter auger with high flights, ensuring exceptionally smooth crop feeding. Full width retractable auger tines are standard on all header sizes. The square frame beam and the sturdy reel tube provide the rigidity required of high performing harvesters. Full-width skids eliminate bulldozing and protect the under side of the header.
New Holland maize headers combine excellent field performance with high daily output. Five and six-row headers are available and three row widths match specific planting patterns. Changing crop conditions are no problem with the cab-controlled deck plate adjustment. The stalk rolls can be fitted with knives or regular plates. TC Combines can be equipped with a maize harvesting kit consisting of cover plates for the drum, a maize concave and maize sieves.
